Our Co-Ownerships and how they work!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, this is not exactly the same way some other breeders have their Co-Ownerships, because any breeder can do them how ever they choose to do so, but here is how ours work.
On females, we provide the Stud Services, and it will be with a male of our choice, this is due to our Experience with our Bloodlines as well as many other Bloodlines.
A person must pay for half interest or half of the sale price of the female up front, then they do have the option of paying for the other half or ( our half interest ) after we have split at least one litter of pup's.
We do not think any Co-Ownership should go on for the life of the dog, after all, any Dog worth owning half of, the person should want to obtain full interest at some point in time.
This can work out really well for both parties, IF everyone understands to begin with all the terms of the Co-Ownership. It can allow the Breeder to be able to get back some pup's for their next generation for their own breeding program, and it can allow the New Owners to own a much better Quality Adult than what they might be able to afford to begin with. And yet they can really benefit IF they complete their contract, by doing everything that is agreed upon, because they don't have to put down, but half of the sale price to begin with and they can take the Option of buying out our half interest once the first litter has been born.
Here's how we do our Co-Ownerships on our females, we provide the Stud Services therefore we get the Pick Puppy. On any good breeding there is never just one Pick puppy, but this gives us the option of the first selection. The other person gets the second pup, we get the third choice, and them the fourth, etc. until all the pup's have been divided up IF there is an odd number of pup's, then we let the other person have that odd numbered pup. Example: IF there are 9 pup's in the litter, we would get 4 pup's and the other person would get 5 pup's.
We want photo's sent to us at 2,4,6 weeks of age, and we want to be able to take our half of the litter of pup's when they are 6 weeks of age, we are very capable of caring for the 6 week old pup's, where some new owner may not be.
Arrangements must be made ahead of time IF the person lives a long distance and each contract will of course apply to that individual situation, of that particular person, in agreement with us at that time.
The other person is responsible for taking good care of the mother and her babies and is responsible for all vet bills on the mother and the litter.
Once the pup's are divided up IF the person wants to buy out our half interest, they have that option, depending on the price of the female to begin with.
Also, we will help screen people for even their half of the litter. We want our pup's to get the Best possible Homes. We also will evaluate each individual puppy for the New Owners, and honestly represent each puppy.
IF you have any other questions about how our Co-Ownerships work, just write us an email with your questions.
Of course on our Males, it is a lot different, you would need to contact us if you are wanting details about Co-Owning one of our Males.
